Coffee: Introducing the Coffee Podcast

7 October, 2026

After weight-loss surgery in 2014 I was unable to drink fizzy softdrinks (soda pop) and I missed caffeine. I gave Tea and Coffee a go and fell in love with Coffee. I originally toyed with the idea of creating a show all about coffee, but it wasn’t until my wife’s present of a coffee tree finally bore fruit that nudged me to record the experience.

Whilst I’m starting at the deep end, so to speak, with a three-part special about my experiences growing my first season of coffee in my own backyard, in future I’m intending to cover the different varietals, how and where its grown in my own country and abroad, as well as the many ways of brewing a cup and the seemingly endless contraptions designed to brew it.

From picking to drying, shelling and roasting. From grinding to brewing with aeropress, pour-over, cold brew and espresso with Lattes, Flat Whites and just straight Black Coffee, I’ll cover them all…eventually.

Episodes will be released initially once every few weeks but likely with an approximately monthly cadence. I’ve decided to go with video for this show and of course, if you’re Premium supporter via Patreon you’ll get them much sooner. (Still working on Apple Podcasts Video early releases, stay tuned)

Enjoy.
